We both - Birute and Czes Kul hand carve all classical violin family instruments - violin, viola and cello. Each instrument is carefully handmade and arranged, tailored to meet the need of an individual customer.

Fine handcrafted violin scroll Additionally, sometimes we are making violins from a newly developed Violin Octet. These instruments are invented on a basis of comprehensive research, so their sounding surpasses that of classic violin family instruments in almost all aspects.

Obviously, appearance of such instruments resembles that of nice classical, as well as of soundly made contemporary violin, viola or cello.

Musical instruments always must be beautiful. All musical instruments are part of centuries long heritage, usually experiencing all sort of development (visible or invisible, sometimes large, usually tiny...) all the time.

Violin family instruments experienced major development in small Italy town Cremona in so called Golden Period.

However, some improvements have been performed all the time. There no exists the only way to create so special - exceptionally beautiful, unusually strong-sounding... violin.

No doubt - every violin maker must be inventor - he or she must invent personal WAY. Certainly, the best way to gather basics of this so special craft/art - getting apprenticeship under supervision of experienced master violin marker. But later, when young and inexperienced luthier starts his or her personal carrier, it is necessary to rethink every single step at every stage of violin creation.

At last I have my ideal violin. I turned down 14 instruments which came from all around the country, including an original cremonese violin, which I just couldn't convince myself to like. However I had no second thoughts about my new violin, made by Czes and Birute Kul, and instantly knew this was the one. The violin has very clean articulation and a sweet tone, also
projecting well. I have had many compliments about it. A lot of careful workmanship has obviously gone into the violin, which is very elegant and distinctive in looks. Before you look anywhere else, I strongly recomend Czes and Birute. It could save a lot of trouble, time and money.
